Going Full Circle: How I Learned to Pull Back to Push Myself Forward

​​Lately I’ve been reflecting on sharing the journey of my business partnerships, and I can’t help but think about how far I’ve come and how much has changed since I was a young and scrappy newspaper ad sales rep back in 2002. 

I had goals…lofty ones, and I was willing to work myself silly both at my job and at home to achieve what I believed was success, and portray that success to others (even if it was often a false portrayal). Boy did I have a lot to learn.

Discovering my Word of the Year

There’s always all this talk about choosing a WORD OF THE YEAR, and I am not gonna lie – I LOVE IT! 

I began choosing a word of the year when I first learned about it in 2018, and I have stuck with it ever since.

Each year, I usually know exactly what I need to do to grow, evolve and keep a forward momentum. (If you didn’t know already, I am not a supporter of status quo.) Often the focus is so obvious, I simply cannot avoid it.

Pay attention to where you’re committed that isn’t in alignment and always be willing to ask the hard questions that will shine light on your truth.
