The Space Between: Welcome in 2024
I don’t know about you, but I am feeling a really positive level of energy in the air with the birth of 2024. For me, I have not felt this type of energy in years.
The gap between Christmas and New Years proved to be a wicked shift of energy. The space mostly gave power to dream, rest and reflect.
Maybe it’s me, my frame of mind, my vision, my efforts all coming into a place of reality- less dreaming and building, that was so 2023! More of like a HELL YES! I know where this journey is leading, and I am ready to put the intentional work into the journey. This is the space I love most - the space between having a clear vision and knowing the big desired outcome - the best part of life, the moments in between.
This part is what I think of as the fuel for the zest of life - full of plans, projects, launches, new opportunities, new people, new ways of doing things, new considerations of how to connect the vision to the outcome.
The vision can be hard sometimes. I have been working on my bigger vision for years.
A conversation the first day of the new year, with a new ElevatHer client sparked some thoughts on how I got here, to this place in between. She was asking me if I had some special exercise to kick off her new year and new investment to capture clarity for what she wants in her work and business.
I gave her these journal prompts that have been so powerful for me, and thought you may like them as well. These are questions I ask myself often in some form or another. It’s a means to stay in alignment and not revert back into old patterns and limiting beliefs.
Wondering where I came up with these questions?
These are questions that were once placed upon me when I was a member in group coaching and Masterminds with leaders like Amber Lilyestrom, James Wedmore, Julie Solomon, Adrienne Dorison, Jordan Gill, and online trainings from Katherine Zenkina (Manifestation Babe).
I swear…hands down, it is from investing in myself with leaders that I admire that has allowed me to develop a larger vision for life and business. Sharing these questions with you is my way of opening the door of possibility for you to develop a bigger vision.
Before I share, here is a side note: January 11th is the first new moon of 2024. It is the best day to set clear intentions for what you want to experience this year. Maybe these journal prompts will prepare you for setting yourself up for a prosperous year.
What brought you the most joy in 2023? What were some moments of joy you experienced? Being specific can give more knowledge on how to replicate this state of being, a pathway to stronger decision making based on past experiences. Ultimately leading to more HELL YES’s and more joy, while also leading to more NOs to what does not serve me.
What did I learn most of myself this year - significant lessons, insights gained? How can this lead me forward, and why is this so valuable for personal development and future growth? How can you leverage this in your decision making for 2024? Reflect without judgment but be honest- are you afraid to take action, are you a control freak, do you serve others over yourself, do you not follow thought, are you disorganized, are you stretched too thin? Knowing who we are can help us establish new directions for change and growth.
How did you feel last year? How do you want to feel this year? Be specific- what do you want more of and what do you want less of?
Your answers provide very important details and self reflection that we can use to design a brand new and improved year. Don’t judge the outcome. Just be gentle and honest.
Also, don’t rush! We have a brand new full year (with an extra day too!). Hold the excitement that a new year brings, but also engage in intentional effort. We no longer want to embrace rush or force or pressure - this is not going to be sustainable or joy filled.
Cheers, may 2024 be your best year yet!
