Ep 18: The Organic Project with Thyme Sullivan
Thyme Sullivan is the Co-founder and CEO of The Organic Project (TOP), eco-friendly tampons and pads for girls and the moms who love them.
She spent 27 years as an Executive in consumer-packaged goods with Nestle, PepsiCo and Coca-Cola and took the leap into entrepreneurship because she wanted to make a difference and set an example for her daughter. She wanted to show young girls that we all have superpowers to make positive change.
Feminine hygiene was a category she noticed had long been overlooked, lacking both innovation and transparency. There were also environmental and social impact issues that were simply ignored. Thyme reunited with her cousin, Denielle Finkelstein and TOP was born. Their purpose is to make better and safer plant-based period products accessible to all women.
This episode covers:
· Finding more purpose in life & aligning your company with your mission.
· The entrepreneurial journey from big idea to implementation and the art of not giving up.
· How remembering to have fun completely changed the trajectory of their business. (Ever dressed as a tampon?)
