In today’s episode Jodie talks about a how being a self-labeled Outlier kept her feeling like she never fit in. From her ambitions taking her in a different direction that her siblings, to her finding herself in many rooms throughout her life where she was the odd one “out”, or show she thought.

Fueled by an innate desire to succeed, create impact, and thrive, Jodie has always loved being different, welcomes change (even the hard), and continually learn new and more. However, this also left her feeling and creating self-judgment that her differences left her less likely to fit in.

Until she found a room where she was more alike than different and was able to embrace the sense of belonging, she craved her entire life.

This has given her the invitation to remove the label she created for herself, and reframe the negative narrative she established as an “outlier” giving her the courage to lean more into her spaces and places where she was maybe different but still part of. Welcoming a new level of participation, comfort, and confidence.
